Welcome to the new website of the Annette Howell Turner Center for the
Arts, the jewel of Valdosta/Lowndes County, GA!

The Turner Center can easily be compared to an alexandrite, a unique, rare
and valuable gemstone first discovered in the Ural Mountains, now prized
for its mysterious ability to change color and evoke fascination. It is also
reputed to aid creativity and inspire the imagination.

Like the prized stone, our art center is constantly changing and evolving
with rotating art exhibits, public receptions, art classes, musical concerts
and other offerings to residents and visitors to our community. We are the
area's premier regional art center, dedicated to promoting and celebrating
the arts.

While our website is a good source of information for you, we invite you to
visit us at 527 No. Patterson Street in Valdosta, to bask in the beauty of our
facility and its contents. Our staff will welcome you, give you a tour if you'd
like, answer your questions, direct you to a class or just leave you alone to
enjoy the artwork, listen to soothing music, shop in our gift shop, savor the
pleasing sound of the river-rock water fountains at our entrance.

We also invite your comments about our website. Like the art center itself,
the site will continue to evolve and change in order to publicize our events,
educate our visitors and inspire a celebration of the arts. Please visit us
